I guess that's bad news for me. :( Thanks. Hint. When you find a message you need put back in the inbox, just click and drag it back to the inbox. The point is UI consistency and user convenience. Messages are moved when they're marked junk, they should be moved when they are marked un-junk. Philip Miller I agree.

It might seem excessive to freak out over a simple misuse of right click menus, but the reason that UI consistency is important is that it allows and encourages users to develop habits, and when something works in a way that doesn't fit in with those habits, mistakes happen. There was a good point, though.

You may be right. as it is one of the worst programs in terms of UI consistency that there has ever been, precisely because it began life as a Mac program and has only in the last 4 years been driven more by Windows and Microsoft standards than by Mac standards. I've been using Finale since 1991.

Probability-Possibility Consistency
Generalizing across all cases with now-meaningless terms like "consistency" becomes an exercise in pure rhetoric, as this discussion has already proven. Not sure what you mean about generalising - but on the issue of 'consistency' - I don't really care that much - consistency is just one minor factor in UI design.

Anti-Linux FUD
By definition, the choice to sacrifice your existing level of Ui-consistency is just that, a choice. But also by I see. So it's a benefit because there's a choice, even if the choice is stupid.
